Song Lyrics

The Spelljammer Saga

[Verse 1]
Fog laid thick on the toll-road spine,
Lanterns blinked like they’d seen the sign.
Carriage stalled where the stones rise sharp—
Then the shadows stood up and swallowed the dark.
Rigg grins once—bad timing, great taste—
Wrench in his hands like a judge in haste.
Dino climbs high, blade humming blue,
Like “yep, I meant to start this too.”

[Pre-Chorus]
We were told, “Keep moving—don’t ask the why,”
But the night opened wide like a hungry sky.

[Chorus]
Hold the line, hold the name,
When the dead step out, we don’t step away.
Steel and spell, breath and bone—
We write our “no” in blood and stone.
If terror bites, then faith bites back,
We don’t die quiet on the blackened track—
We make the road remember.

[Verse 2]
Six shadows dancing in oil-slick air,
Two minotaur skeletons dragging despair.
Rigg hits a fallen pillar—launches clean—
Drops down hard on a Shadow’s scream.
Leydrick plants light like a nailed-down sun,
Aura wide when the rot comes on.
High Jinks slips thunder between the beats,
Vanish—reappear—right where the danger meets.

[Pre-Chorus]
Then the carriage door opens without a sound,
Like the world forgot how to breathe around—

[Chorus]
Hold the line, hold the name,
When the dead step out, we don’t step away.
Steel and spell, breath and bone—
We write our “no” in blood and stone.
If terror bites, then faith bites back,
We don’t die quiet on the blackened track—
We make the road remember.

[Verse 3]
A lich steps out like a final clause,
Ribs lit green by unholy laws.
It doesn’t rush—doesn’t need to chase,
Just bends the road and changes space.
Disrupting life with a necrotic grin,
Teleporting like “catch me then.”
Valen’s hands draw runes mid-swing—
Shield snaps up like a snapped-off king.

[Pre-Chorus]
And Fear rolls out like a cold, cheap crown—
Not a whisper… a shove straight down.

[Bridge]
Dino and Rook take off—full sprint, full send,
Two brave heroes… temporarily elsewhere again.
(And Dino started it—yeah, we all recall—
“Let’s check the carriage!” —then he checks the wall.)
Boots on gravel, eyes wide, lungs tight,
While the lich stands back, enjoying the sight.
Leydrick drops—then the light says “no,”
A hand reaches out and the heartbeat grows.
Rigg hits dirt, then refuses the grave,
High Jinks drags thunder through the wave.
And when the lich thinks we’ve finally cracked—
We turn that Fear into a boomerang act.

[Chorus]
Hold the line, hold the name,
When the dead step out, we don’t step away.
Steel and spell, breath and bone—
We write our “no” in blood and stone.
If terror bites, then faith bites back,
We don’t die quiet on the blackened track—
We make the road remember.

[Final Chorus]
Hold the line—bring them back,
From the edge where the lanterns fade.
Claw, curse, crown—doesn’t matter now,
We’re still here, unafraid.
High Jinks breaks it, Valen ends it—clean,
Ash in the wind where the lich had been.
And the carriage coughs up secrets in the wake:
A silent Tome… and a crystal that reads what you won’t say.

[Outro]
Coins in the dust, fog in the throat,
We level up with a bruise and a note:
If you start the trouble, try not to run—
(But if you do… run fast, Dino. Love you, son.)
